A tornado hit Joplin, Mo., on Sunday night, destroying a hospital and causing many deaths. They were in a direct path and they were left in darkness with very little resources as firemen are putting out fires and pulling out bodies. this place is in a panic and its the worst of the twisters that have hit the midwest in the past month efforts like FEMA are trying to help the whole area. Weather experts are trying to figure out what happend to make this tornato so big, but they are not having much success. Most of the buildings in the area are destroyed including the schools and apartments.
I think its awful what happend having all those innocent lives taken, I also find it strange how all these twisters have been happening in that area and it odd and they are very strong. I also think that with all these happening they should make evan more safety measures make sure everyone can get out okay and make sure the people that are all ready hurt get them as much help as they need and make sure that everyone can get out when needed.

mudslide
What are some natural factors causing mudslides in Guatemala?
The natural forces that cause the mudslides are earthquakes, hurricanes, and heavy rains that turn the soil into mud, making the soil loose.
What are some human factors causing mudslides in Guatemala?
Sense there are barley any tree it not helping they cut trees down for homes and fire wood that make room for the mudslides.
What is being done to help reduce mudslides and mudslide damage?
They are going to plant more trees like pine trees that will help soak up the water and not make it as easy to get through.

1 - What do you think the global average temperature is? I would say the it is somewhere in the 70's.

4 - Are you concerned about "global warming?" Why or why not? Yes I am because it's could kill all life on the planet and eventually it could destroy the world

Journal Entry
To me the people that are at fult in the oil spill are the people that made the rig and the government for not making sure it was gonna work. They might have tried to stop it but not really it was poring galons and galons of oil into the water and all they did was have meetings to try to stop it with out really going out there and stopping it. So for a punishment I think that the government that owned the rig should pay for all the damages and be sued for a lot of money to make the place the same as it was. So I think that the government that made the oil rig should pay but also our government for letting them put it their so its really also our fault for demanding the need for oil so much so to me a lot of people are at fault here.
